I have been teaching music privately for nearly 15 years and have also worked as a peripatetic teacher in primary schools during this time. I believe that learning music should be fun and can offer pupils a relaxed and creative learning environment - whether you would like to work towards your grades or just tinker about for pleasure. I believe in tailoring lessons to individual needs and learning styles, and welcome pupils from all ages and abilities.
I sometimes hold a concert in my local village hall, where all pupils are invited to come together and perform in front of an audience of friends and family (but don't worry if this is not your cup of tea, it is not compulsory!). This offers pupils the opportunity to showcase their learning and build their confidence in performing in front of an audience.
