Carl is a diverse and friendly tutor who can provide lessons tailored to suit each individual student on the basis of achievable goals whether academic, a particular playing style or a technical aspect.

With a background in both popular and classical music he has a broad range of knowledge to help you unleash your full musical potential within a realistic timeframe. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to write effectively simple songs at an acoustic guitar, explore the smouldering gypsy swing of Django Reinheirt or dedicate yourself to complex neoclassical shred guitar.

Carl can also help with vocal technique's such as increasing range and eliminating strain via breathing exercises and posture. He is familiar with rock school grades 1 to 8 on guitar and vocals and can help with preparation towards exams.

Carl has taught a wide range of ages and abilities and has had experience with dementia, autism and learning difficulties. He is sympathetic to the needs of each individual student and will work specifically at their rate and ability to achieve maximum progress.
