I completed my grade 8 with high merit in June 2012, and continued taking lessons for 2 years afterwards. I taught a pupil for 3 years in which they completed grades 1, 2 and 3 with merit. I was also part of the Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra where I was given the chance to lead the section of flutes and perform at the Royal Albert Hall as part of a competition. I also jointly ran a woodwind ensemble at my previous school for children in years 7-9, as well as partaking in a county flute choir, 2 school choirs and my school orchestra. I also taught fife and flute to several orphans in Ghana, Africa as part of voluntary work for 6 weeks.
Instruments: I teach the flute to beginners of any age, as well as fife (an instrument similar to the flute except there are holes like on a recorder instead of keys). I am an organised, motivating teacher who has a great passion for the flute, and classical musical overall.
Genre/Style(s): I can teach many styles such as Jazz, Classical, Film music and simply fun pieces of music to play either alone or as a duet
Ability Levels: Beginners only

When teaching flute, I try to make my lessons interesting, enjoyable but also challenging. I've also taught several pupils music theory both in England and Ghana.
