Jack Chown is an experienced musician and tutor, living and working in London. He has recently graduated from Oxford with a BA in Music and is currently furthering his own education, having been enrolled to study at the world famous Abbey Road Studios for an Advanced Diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering. Whilst at Oxford, he was also accepted onto a scholarship programme to study percussion at the Royal Academy of Music in his second and third years.

In addition to teaching, Jack is an award-winning musician and producer. Recent projects include 'From The Horses Mouth', which Jack produced at the Edinburgh Fringe, resulting in sell-out performances and two five-star reviews.

Jack is equally comfortable teaching beginners as well as advanced students. He has wide-ranging interests in all musical styles and specifically tailors lessons to suit the needs, and match the interests, of each individual pupil in a patient and considered manner.

Jack regularly tutors music theory (to grade 8 standard) as well as the A-level and GCSE music courses. He is also able to discuss university and interview preparation with students who have a desire to study music further, having recently been through the process himself. He is an experienced drummer and percussionist able to teach to Grade 8 standard and is also adept on the Guitar/Bass, working mainly with beginners and upper intermediate players. He is willing to travel to teach and can also visit during term time and holidays.
