For over fifteen years, Joanna has been engaged in music performance and education. During her youth career, she toured across the UK, Europe and Russia playing piano, saxophone, and organ as part of national and international programs, music festivals, and recitals. Other experience includes orchestral, jazz group, traditional, and solo performances at Newcastle-under-Lyme School, South Wilts Grammar School, and St Georgeís University of London; and as a recitalist, primarily playing solo organ performances of orchestral and choral works.

In 2011, she was awarded Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 at Salisbury Cathedral under the tutelage of Daniel Cook, Principal Organist and Assistant Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral and Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey, London. Her pieces included: Prelude in G, BWV 541 (J.S. Bach), La Vierge et LíEnfant: No. 1 from La Nativité du Seigneur, Vol. 1 (Messiaen), and Nun danket alle Gott, Op. 65, No. 59 (Karg-Elert).

More recently, Joanna has developed a strong commitment to music therapy in hospital settings, frequently initiating collaborations that bring together rare performances. In the past, these events have taken place at St George's Hospital in London, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, and most recently, in Boston, United States of America. The Boston collaboration involved the coordination of musicians and patients from across the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital network and supported a special interest in promoting international cultural and musical understanding.

Since 2011, Joanna has worked as a private music tutor in London and Glasgow, and as a chapel organist for weddings and ceremonies across the UK. As a tutor, she welcomes students of all ages and levels of experiences whilst working on all styles of music. She has taught in private and group settings in London and Glasgow, and overseas in Moscow and America.
