My life has been based around music and performing and I am looking for new pupils in order to share everything I have learnt. I started playing the cello at the age of 9 and it soon became a major part of my life. I was awarded scholarships to attend the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Academy at the age of 11 and went on to lead the main symphony orchestra. I was also highly commended in the annual string prize. I toured Germany and Italy as an instrumental soloist, performing the Elgar cello concerto. I played for the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland and also sang in the National Youth Choir of Scotland. I was a member of my local choir Fair City Singers for 11 years and also in my last year of school joined the chamber choir Chansons which i still sing with now. I then went on to study music at the Birmingham Conservatoire, learning from the head of music John Todd. I was awarded with the first year string prize and throughout my musical career I have won many competitions, toured with local orchestras and performed in many concerts and festivals. I have now returned to my hometown, selling down with my fiance and I would love the opportunity to pass on my knowledge. I am very passionate about my performing and teaching and like to keep learning fun but informative. I can teach all ages and all levels. I can coach any singers and love all types of music.
