Biography

I am an experienced teacher, with a passion for learning. I teach a wide range of ages and abilities, and strive to work with all my students to fulfil their musical and creative potential. Alongside my private teaching, I am the violin teacher for Muswell Young Musicians, a school of music founded on the principals of holistic music teaching, which draws on the teaching methods of Kodaly and Dalcroze. I also work regularly with Wigmore Hall as a workshop musician and with Spitalfields Music as a Trainee Music Leader 2020. I love to combine my creative music making and community participation work with my teaching, and to discover new ways of engaging people of all ages and backgrounds with classical music.

I graduated from my master's degree at Royal Academy of Music with a distinction in 2018, after completing my BA at University of Oxford. I've studied with Jon Thorne and Robert Turrell. Alongside my teaching, I enjoy a varied performing career as both an orchestral and chamber musician, with performances at the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, and the Royal Festival Hall to name a few. With my quartet (the Bloomsbury Quartet) I have performed up and down the country, for example at the Lake District and Leicester International Music Festivals. Performing allows me to share my love of music with many people, and as a teacher I strive to share that joy with my students too.
