Notes:

I am currently studying at the Opera Studio at the Royal College of Music in London, having recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London with MA (Distinction) in Voice and prior to that training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (BMus (Hons)). I have performed in numerous operas, recitals and oratorio concerts all over the country and studied with some of the finest singers in the industry. I have a strong understanding of good vocal technique and helping people to sing healthily. For me, the most important thing about teaching technique in singing lessons is to still have a lot of fun whilst doing so! I have lots of fun exercises and endless enthusiasm that will help people to understand the basis of a good technique without over-complicating things.

If you choose me as your teacher, you are choosing a teacher with over six years specialist conservatoire training. You are choosing a teacher who is working in the profession currently. You are choosing a teacher who loves and cares about their craft and wants to pass that passion on to others! Most importantly, you are choosing a teacher who has the knowledge and experience to teach a healthy singing technique, at which ever level is right for you.

I am open to teaching people of all ages - so long as the enthusiasm is there, I'm in! I have prior experience teaching children of around 8-15 years old, and also young adults.

During my time studying for my BMus at the RWCMD, Cardiff, I undertook a module in 1:1 singing teaching which I successfully passed. Having completed all ABRSM vocal exams up to Grade 8 (obtaining distinction in every exam) and obtaining my Grade 5 Theory, I have a strong knowledge about how ABRSM examinations work and what is required for each level.

I continue to have a busy and varied freelance career. This helps to inform my teaching as I am heavily involved in today’s music industry and constantly observing professionals working at their peak. I am always keen to learn and am able to impart this information onto pupils that I teach. I often find that advice I have received from great musicians is relevant in some form at any level of singing and performing.

I am a bubbly, fun and enthusiastic person and my main goal in lessons is always for the student to enjoy making music. Although I am classically trained, I also have an interest in musical theatre and always encourage students to pursue whichever path they most enjoy (or both!). As I have spent so many years training, I have a wide knowledge of repertoire. I also have GCSEs in both Italian and French and have continued to study these languages, plus German, at conservatoire level.
