Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Notes:

I am an ISM & EPTA registered private teacher. I have experience of entering students for both ABRSM and SQA (Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher) exams if required but also teach many students who just want to learn for fun.

My focus is on teaching students all round musicianship skills, so they will learn how to read music and how to play by ear and improvise. Students can start in preschool group lessons (ages 3-5) / 1-2-1 or buddy lesson dependant on age and requirements.

I teach from my family home in Brightons and teach both adults and children.

I am a full professional member of the European Piano Teachers Association and a current member of The Curious Piano Teachers group and am passionate about my own continuous development as well as that of my students.
