Mr Richard Vallance

Richard Vallance is an independent percussive fingerstyle musician from Leeds, England. In 2011 he became a music student studying a level 3 performing musician course at the Access to Music centre in York.

While entering his second year at the college through recommendations from his inspirational guitar tutor Tim Downie he discovered artists such as Antoine Dufour, Don Ross, Andy McKee, Erik Mongrain and Preston Reed who provide a constant source of inspiration and influence on his music.

Richard Vallance currently performs a combination of covers and original compositions at many various venues in and around the city of York and Leeds. On the 29th of June 2013 he opened on the Access to Music acoustic stage at the first Apollo Festival in York. Richard also performed at the York Food & Drink Festival on the 25/07/13. He is now in the process of composing and recording his debut single which will hopefully be released sometime in the near future.
