My teaching experience is extremely varied, from one to one tuition teaching all age ranges and all standards, to running workshops on a regular basis with schools and music services. I have led workshops in several Nursery schools, primary and secondary schools around London and work for the Music House for Children, introducing younger children to new aspects of music.
I have had the pleasure of leading workshops in prestigious venues such as The Albert hall, having the opportunity to work alongside The BBC symphony orchestra, Teenage Cancer Trust, and the Tri borough scheme.
I am Woodwind Teacher for Chelsea Academy, and Teacher of Saxophone for Headington Girls School in Oxford, therefore hold a DBS.
I am also a member of Ferio Saxophone Quartet, who are keen ambassadors for education workshops, most recently running a day of workshops and concerts at Kings Ely School, Cambridgeshire. Whilst doing these workshops, I have gained valuable experience in team work, leadership and communication with all age ranges of children from hugely varied backgrounds.
I have taught several pupils privately, all ages and all standards, entering them for ABRSM examinations all passing with merits and distinctions. I am extremely passionate about teaching and always aims to inspire my pupils in lessons; I aim to make lessons fun and interesting by exploring the versatility of repertoire on the saxophone, flute and clarinet.
I have taken Level 6 study of Teaching at The Royal College of Music where I had to analyse and observe experienced teachers across a diverse range of schools, ranging from The Royal College of Music Junior department and The Purcell School, to state schools across London. This has offered me first hand teaching experience from several teachers in the music profession.
