Notes:

I am very passionate about teaching and have worked with a range of children ageing from six to sixteen. As well as being experienced in one-to-one tuition, I have taught on a week-long summer school for children with Down’s Syndrome for the last three years, teaching music, theatre and playing the harp. I gave orchestral tuition to students in the Stamford Endowed School's orchestra for three years. I also recently gave music workshops in Primary Schools around South-East London as part of my degree. As a keen public speaker and advocate of female composers, I gave a short lecture to the Trinity Laban feminist society on Polish composer Grazyna Bacewicz’s life and work in June 2017. I also write a small blog on the environmental and life-style factors that effect ones ability to compose prolifically and comfortably, helping those composing at higher levels to maintain inspiration and flourish.

As a performer, I have sung in several choirs of ranging ability and forces at Birmingham Junior Conservatoire, Stamford Endowed Schools, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music. I have performed in venues such as the Barbican Centre, Peterborough Cathedral, Adrian Boult Hall, Blackheath Halls, Kings Place, St John Smith’s Square and venues in and around Florence, Italy. I am currently studying for my vocal ATCL and am a choral scholar at St Margaret’s, Lee, church choir.

I put a lot of care into planning lessons with each individual student in order that they may enjoy learning whilst reaching their full potential. Be it music theory tuition for grades, GCSE/A-level/degree support or composition lessons for anyone of any standard, each lesson is created with the individual in mind. I am a kind, enthusiastic and versatile teacher who wishes to inspire pupils to create, play and absorb the wide variety of music available to us today. I aim to help each student grow in confidence and independence, feeding their passions and aiding them in being a well-rounded, informed musician.
