Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Notes:

My approach to teaching is first of all to understand what the student wants to achieve through the lessons and then work out a plan to make sure the goal is reached. Whether this is taking ABRSM exams and progressing up the grades system, or simply growing confidence in your voice so you can wow your friends at karaoke, anything is achievable with dedication from the teacher and the student alike.
I teach singing and theory to all abilities, and piano to beginners.

While I am not a member of the MU, I am a member of Equity, the union for Opera Singers and Musical Theatre professionals.
