Notes:

I am a young guitarist, 22, but I have played for many years. I am looking to teach those at beginner and intermediate levels but can move into more advanced material depending on the style (I am a jazz/blues guitarist and don't play metal). I am not classically trained and do not sight read but I can teach music theory (scales, modes, chordal relationships, etc.).

I like to teach what the student wants to learn. Tell me the song you want to learn and, as long as it's playable at your level, we'll learn it. If you want to approach guitar more traditionally and try to work through techniques and exercises that's also great. It's your choice how much theory we bring into the equation.

I am not a qualified guitar teacher but I am an advance guitar player and have a higher diploma in guitar performance and theory and a second diploma in sound technology and digital music. I'm also a qualified English teacher and I think the skills I have learnt from that have helped me become a better music instructor in general.

I'm also very keen on the technological side of music and can include lessons on sound recording, audio engineering and production if you like.

Prices are £20 for an hour long lesson and I can come out to teach if you live within a reasonable distance, or you are welcome to come to mine if it suits you.
