Biography

Pianist Jocelyn is developing a career notable in its integrity and versatility. Comfortable performing as song accompanist, soloist, recitalist and instrumental duo partner, she has been hailed as "One to Watch" by International Piano Magazine, and has recently released her debut CD Night and Novelties: A Piano Recital for Kissan Records. Her engaging performances are characterised by colourful, intimate imagination and technical authority.

Former prize winner at the Royal Academy of Music, Samling Scholar and Phoebe Benham Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music, Jocelyn has toured around the UK, the Caribbean, Singapore, France, Denmark and Cyprus. Recitals have taken her to the Wigmore Hall, St John's, Smith Square, the Sage, Gateshead, and the Oxford Lieder Festival, and she has performed live on Sky, BBC and S4C television. As keen musical collaborator, Jocelyn has partnered many outstanding singers including Bryn Terfel, Michael Chance, Alfie Boe, Anna Huntley, Stuart Jackson, Marcus Farnsworth, Jonathan McGovern and Ruth Jenkins. Duo performances include work with notable wind and string players including Anna Hashimoto, Sujin Park, Joe Zeiltin and Vashti Hunter. As a soloist she has performed concertos by Mozart, Liszt and Gershwin, and was awarded Gold at the Marlow International Concerto Competition 2008.

Jocelyn is passionate about performing concert programmes that excite and inform the listener. She is currently directing a Song Series entitled Dual Alliance, which unusually explores and exhibits French and Russian song, and plans various visits to UK venues and music clubs with instrumentalists and singers.
