Completed Educare child protection training course. (more)
Keeping Children Safe in Music is the latest in the EduCare's series of distance learning courses on child protection. The training programme uses short films to show a variety of good and bad practice examples, which will be available to watch online. It will help anyone teaching music to children gain a better understanding of their child protection responsibilities, and avoid situations that could lead to accusations of misconduct.

Simon is a personable, patient and experienced piano teacher with over eight years educating students aged five years upwards. Lessons are upbeat and engaging; learning (and teaching!) the piano is a tremendous joy and this is of paramount importance within classes. Practice is essential and lots of advice and feedback is given in order to make sure work away from lessons is effective.

His teaching is tailored to each individual pupil; students learn classical music, jazz and pop and encouragement is
given to broaden musical scope as much as possible. Music theory is fundamental and is also covered.

Simon teaches both ABRSM and Trinity exam boards, with students attaining high marks throughout their exam progress.
