I endeavour to tailor lessons to the tastes and needs of the pupil whilst making steady progress and, of course, having fun making music!

Whether for folk fiddle or classical violin, I usually begin with core technique to provide you with a solid foundation on which to develop, yet always with an emphasis on the music itself and how you will make it your own.
There is no obligation to take exams and I am open to various teaching methods, such as learning folk fiddle music by ear alone. In this way, I strive to give you the style of tuition that you want to be paying for.

Having specialised in composition and analysis during my undergraduate degree, I am also available to teach all levels of music theory and the techniques of composition.

Please note that a small additional charge may apply in cases where I must travel for your lesson. This will be discussed before you commit to any lessons.

I am happy to teach on a regular, occasional or one-off basis. Thank you for looking me up - do get in touch!
