Katrina combines her successful teaching practice with a busy career as a freelance violinist that has taken her all over the country performing for concerts, recordings and national broadcasts.

She plays with numerous ensembles including Southern Sinfonia, Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra, Lincolnshire Chamber Orchestra, and the Darwin Ensemble with whom she has featured in the Full Works Concerts on Classic FM. Katrina has had the privilege of working on a number of world and national premieres of pieces for orchestra, and has also performed in concert with conductor Sir Roger Norrington and international soloists including opera singers Claire Rutter and Elizabeth Watts, harpist Catrin Finch, oboist Nicholas Daniel, pianist Peter Donohoe, and violinists Jack Liebeck and Jennifer Pike.

Commercial music engagements range from classical-crossover to pop and symphonic rock and include arena and concert hall tours with Il Divo, Katherine Jenkins, Lea Salonga, Starsailor, Led Zeppelin Masters, and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett - this 2018 ‘Genesis Revisited’ tour, recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall, has subsequently been released on CD & DVD.

Other recent performances include broadcasts on BBC1 with Russell Watson, shows featuring Aled Jones, Michael Ball, Ruthie Henshall, and Sheridan Smith, and the Madness 40th Anniversary Concert at Kenwood House in London with orchestral arrangements by renowned Hollywood film composer David Arnold.
