Notes:

I have over 25 years experience teaching the piano. I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music and studied piano with Yonty Solomon and composition with Justin Connolly. I have extensive performing experience both as a soloist and as an accompanist and currently undertake accompanying work, for singers and instrumentalists preparing for diplomas, grade exams and recitals.

I have also had substantial teaching experience both as a music teacher in schools and for the last 9 years as a piano teacher at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts, in Sidcup. I work with students of all ages and all levels from beginner to diploma/ recital level, covering a wide variety of musical styles. I also teach privately, and regularly enter students for the ABRSM and Trinity College London exams.
I am also an examiner for Trinity College London both in the UK and overseas.
I am willing to travel to students within the borough of Lewisham or just outside, if it is convenient for students. Alternatively students may come to me. I have a Steinway Model O concert grand, lots of patience and enthusiasm for teaching!

When I am not teaching, examining or accompanying, regularly I am to be found playing the organ and piano at the Church of the Good Shepherd and St Peters, Lee, South East London. I have written music for the choir and congregation at both churches and my association is a very long and happy one.

I welcome enquiries from learners of all ages and levels. All are welcome to try a single consultation lesson or course of lessons to suit individual needs.
