My aim in our lessons is to use my wealth of experience to help you attain your goals in learning drums, percussion or music theory. I offer a free consultation to see if I'm the right teacher for you and to have a quick discussion about what you or your child wants to get out of our lessons, and my expectations from you. That may mean learning your, or your child's first groove, expanding your vocabulary in preparation for exams or university applications, learning to read drum and percussion notation, or getting on top of music ready for a cover band gig, I can help.

To comply with current coronavirus guide lines all lessons now take place remotely online from my purpose built studio. I can accomodate online lessons over Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams or Facetime and provide multiple angle, high quality video and audio to make the lesson as productive as a 1-1 lesson at your house. All that is needed is a laptop, tablet, or phone with a camera, headphones and a drum kit or practice pad.

I'm based in Birmingham and have 5+ years of 1-1 teaching experience both privately and working in schools as a visiting tutor with all ages and abilities. Alongside my work as a teacher I also run samba and african percussion workshops in schools and outdoor education centres nationwide and (coronavirus permitting) work as a busy freelance musician having performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, in the west end and at various concert halls throughout the country.
