Alan Withers is an experienced, professional musician and tutor based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. Alan has worked alongside some of the most prestigious names in jazz music and is an ex BBC session musician with a wealth of experience including serving in the British Army in the band of the 15th 19th Hussars aswell as studying Clarinet at Kneller Hall in London for a year. He has worked in TV and theatre with work including the Birmingham Hippodrome, Cruise Ships and Cabaret.
He is currently part of the 'Birmingham Big Band', 'Worcestershire Jazz Orchestra', 'Kinda Dukish' and the 'Southampton All Stars'.
Alan is proud to have worked alongside stars such as Ella Fitzgerald, Gene Pitney, Billy Eckstein, Sarah Vaughn, Frankie Laine, Gerry Mulligan, Matt Monroe and Mel Torme to name but a few!
Alan has taught Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute across a variety of schools around Worcestershire and privately over the years with many grade passes up to Grade 8, certified by Trinity College London.
