Notes:
I have been teaching piano for the past ten years in a variety of contexts. Most of my students have a strong interest in Jazz and improvisation though I also teach classical piano. I try to give students a well rounded understanding of all styles as well as focusing on harmony and ear skills.I try to keep students engaged by making lessons fun whilst ensuring that adequate development is taking place.
As as Associated Board Jazz Examiner I am very familiar with the exam procedure and am experienced in preparing students for these assesments, However, exams are not for everyone and there is no pressure to sit them.
