Jacob is a Swedish oboist studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under George Caird and Jenni Phillips. He has played as principal oboist with the Swedish National Wind Orchestra, the West Sweden Youth Orchestra, Gothenburg Youth Orchestra and many other orchestras. Since studying in Birmingham, he has been the principal oboist for the conservatoire Symphony, Opera and Wind Orchestra, and taken up a plethora of other opportunities. Jacob won the 1500 GBP Lilla Ljungrensska soloist award and was a finalist in the Winifred Micklam competition and has been now awarded a place on the prestigious CBSO training scheme for 2019/20 and Birmingham Music Service placement.
