Sabrina Curpanen, Pianist
Born in Agrigento (Sicily), Sabrina is an enthusiastic young pianist and teacher who began her music and piano studies at the age of six. In 2005, she graduated with Summa cum Laude at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato "V. Bellini" in Caltanissetta (Sicily). She performed in the Final Concert for the Best Graduates at the Margherita Theatre in Caltanissetta.
In 2009, Sabrina gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Piano Performance (interpretative-compositive oriented) with Summa cum Laude. For her degree exam, she spoke about her thesis, titled "From Chopin's Art to the evolution of the Scherzo through the Analysis of Opus 31".
In 2011 she won the Second Prize at the National Competition in Viagrande (Catania).
Sabrina has taken part in many Masterclasses with celebrated teachers such as Lucia Passaglia, Vincenzo Balzani, Marc Pierre Toth, Sandro Russo, Philippe Cassard and Bruno Canino. She usually performs in Recitals in Sicily including Biblioteca Scarabelli (Caltanissetta), Palazzo Alberti (Mazzarino), Museo Archeologico (Caltanissetta), Teatro Margherita (Caltanissetta), Teatro Pirandello (Agrigento), Villa Comunale (Canicattì), San Francesco Church (Naro).
Now, Sabrina is attending a Piano Advanced Course at the London Piano Masters under Dr. Stefania Passamonte (Piano Solo) and Tania Park (Chamber Music).
