Mary Nicholson was trained as a singer at the Royal Academy of Music before going the Royal Opera House as a soprano.

Many of her students have gone on to careers as professional singers.

For example last year has seen a soprano go on to Oxford to study music after gaining a Grade 8 singing distinction.

This year a baritone won a Dada award to specialise in music theatre at Laine Theatre Arts in London.

This is the second time that one of her pupils has won a Dada award.

Lessons are given in Mary’s large dedicated music studio in Beccles, which is equipped with recording facilities and a Steinway concert grand piano.

A professional pianist is available to assist as accompanist for lessons, exams and concerts.

Pupils are accepted after a short, informal audition, which is free of charge.

Mary also directs the choir Auriga Capella. To find out more about the choir go to the choir's website:

There are contact details on the Auriga Capella website.
