Notes:

All levels are most welcome from beginners to advanced. My approach is friendly and relaxed and tailor made to suit the individual pupil. Pupils can choose their own musical goals and repertoire, with guidance from me and study at their own pace. I play and teach a variety of styles. I am an enthusiastic teacher and explain and demonstrate concepts clearly in each lesson using a modern approach. My aim is bring out the best in every pupil. Lessons are fun and enjoyable.

I can help with GCSE and A Level exam preparation and university audition preparation. My pupils do very well in both practical and theory exams. I teach up to Grade 8/ ARSM diploma level.

I usually use the ABRSM board or Trinity for Grades 1 - 8. At times I use other boards such as Rockschool.
One of my pupils gained 95% in their piano exam (Trinity).

Lessons are enjoyable and you can play purely for fun or take exams. By learning correctly with a qualified, versatile teacher making progress is fun, faster and so much easier! I teach children aged 4 or 5 upwards (depending on the child) and adults of all ages. I give pupils skills and strategies to enable them to be confident in performing, reading music and improvising.

I teach on two brand new Yamaha grand pianos in a dedicated music room. Fees for Grade 7 and 8 are £36/ hr. Fees for ARSM Diploma are £38/hr.

I am happy to teach all styles - however my personal favourites are Chopin and Beethoven (classical), Alicia Keys R & B) and popular jazz standards.

Feel free to email me at any time. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
