Notes:

I am currently studying classical violin at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Having been fortunate enough to have had great music teachers, I know the importance of getting it right from the start!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
*I am an excellent communicator with children (of all ages!) I have an innate ability to encourage and inspire.

*I have taught on a one-to-one basis, as well as planning and running music workshops in primary schools and community festivals.

*I have worked for both the Royal Greenwich Music Hub and Blackheath Conservatoire as a teaching assistant, helping groups of children to improve their confidence and to have fun through learning music.

CLASSICAL VIOLIN:
I am an undergrad in classical violin performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Greenwich. I have been playing the violin for ten years, achieving distinction at grade eight, and an ATCL diploma from Trinity College London.

PIANO:
I am Grade 8 standard on the piano, and teach classical piano up to grade 4. I aim to make piano fun to learn and I see key-board skills as important to and useful
in almost any genre of music, greatly enhancing the learner's understanding of music theory.

FOLK FIDDLE:
Folk fiddle was where I began. I was steeped in traditional Irish playing and was taught by acclaimed Irish fiddle play-ers, Paul Bradley and Donal O’Connor. I believe the best way to encourage people to learn music is to enable them to ex-plore whichever musical genres that inspire them! Given that folk music is an aural tradition, I am equally comfortable teaching Irish and Scottish music by ear or by reading.

LESSON INFORMATION:
I will travel to teach you in your own home at a time that suits you. Whether you want to learn classical or folk, prepare for grades or play for fun, I can tailor my lessons to suit your wishes.

To organise an obligation-free consultation lesson, email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I do ask that we meet for a coffee a few days prior to the lesson, during which you can ask me any questions you have, and we can work out a plan that suits your needs. I am available to teach at week-ends.
