Biography
Florian has been teaching privately one-to-one in London for 6 years, taken cello workshops and ensembles and assisted on numerous summer music courses. This includes `cellos at Belle Serre`, a summer course run by former British international soloist Lowri Blake.
He has been fortunate enough to receive an all round outstanding musical education and feels passionately about sharing what he's learned with others. He feels a responsibility to ensure his pupils are well set up to make the most of their playing and he takes great pleasure in seeing them progress.
Florian is a graduate of the Royal College of Music where he studied with Melissa Phelps and Alexander Chaushian. He has had masterclasses with prominent cellists, such as Phillipe Müller, Christoph Richter, Johannes Goritzky and Torleif Thedéen. As a member of various orchestras (Chetham's Symphony Orchestra, RCM Symphony Orchestra) he has performed in a number of prestigious venues (Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall). His love for chamber music has enabled him to take part in a number of festivals worldwide, such as the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival (South Africa), Manchester Chamber Music Festival and the 'Festival Notes d'Ecume' (South-West France). He has appeared in solo recitals and performances throughout the UK as well as Central France.
