Notes:

I have eight years of teaching experience, both with children and adults, and both individual and group settings. Teaching experience with children includes positions at Alfred Salter Primary School and Wandsworth Music Service in London, through which I teach both primary and secondary school students on violin, viola, and cello both individually and in groups. I also coached chamber music as part of the American Festival for the Arts and worked with young children in groups regularly, and have held teaching positions in Klein and Tomball Independent School Districts in Houston.

My current DBS clearance for working with children available upon request.

I have experience teaching advanced, university-level and adult students as part of my Teaching Assistantship at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and I also teach many adult students currently.

I believe in a methodical approach to teaching and practicing, with the focus on building habits, work ethic and teaching the student to teach themselves. I aim to help my students maximize use of what is often limited practice time in today's busy world. I use Suzuki, Essential Elements and Abra Kadabra methods, along with Flesch, Mazas, Kreutzer and Campagnoli scale/etude books, depending on which method is best fitted for the student.
