Notes:
I am a Hampshire and London-based woodwind tutor specialising in saxophone, who has recently graduated from the Royal College of Music after completing my Master's in Performance. I perform regularly as both a soloist and in ensembles and have many years of tutoring experience. I enjoy teaching and performing a wide variety of musical styles from classical through to pop and contemporary and am able to teach to all ages and abilities. I am an enthusiastic and reliable individual who works hard to ensure that music-making in whatever form is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
I have been teaching privately for a number of years, previously in the Worcestershire area and now in Greater London and Hampshire. I can teach saxophone, clarinet and flute for all ages and abilities. I am also available for broader music theory tuition and exam preparation where I have completed an undergraduate and Postgraduate degree, as well as multiple ABRSM Instrumental Grades. I have previously been involved with orchestral workshops for primary schools which involved coaching woodwind sections, individual tuition and arranging music parts for the students. The workshops culminated in a performance to the parents at the end of the day so they could see the rewards of their children's effort. I also have a 100% exam pass rate with most of my students achieving merits and distinctions.
I believe that the most important aspect of learning an instrument is to make it an enjoyable and rewarding experience; playing should never become a chore! I try to make my lessons as fun and interesting as possible for all levels of ability; whether it be helping you make your first sounds or working towards advanced examinations and public performances. Whatever it is you would like to get out of music, I can help you achieve it
