Biography

I am a final year undergraduate student at the Royal College of Music, where I am a scholarship student. I have appeared live at the BBC Proms on several occasions and this year I won an audition for a place as flautist on the English National Opera’s Evolve Scheme, where I have played in rehearsals with the orchestra and have participated in their masterclass at the RCM. I have also recorded a CD for the Naxos record label with the Mela Guitar Quartet. I am a previous principal of the National Youth Orchestra, with whom I have played under the baton of conductors such as Vasily Petrenko, John Wilson and Simone Young.

As a teacher, I have a wealth of experience, teaching in schools and privately. I have taught pupils from 4-60 and regularly take pupils through ABRSM and Trinity graded exams, I have also helped pupils work towards their GCSE and A level music recordings.

I have an up to date DBS certificate, and have taken the Musicians Union child protection training course.

I teach at my home in Queens Park or can travel to you. My rates teaching at home are £25, £30 and £40 for half an hour, 45 and 60 minutes respectively. For travelling to you I charge £25, £35 and £45.
