Notes:
I am a pianist, composer, musicologist and private tutor who recently relocated to the West Midlands. I am looking to build up a student base of both adults and children alike, and can teach at all levels including diploma. I have had 8 years teaching experience, and I also worked as pianist-in-residence for two restaurants in the north of England whilst completing my postgraduate studies.
My approach to teaching is one that generally includes practical, theoretical and musicological elements in order to mould well-rounded musicians who can excel in the multiple avenues that music has to offer. Depending on the needs of particular students, however, I can be extremely flexible. I am more than happy to assist with GCSE, A-Level or Undergraduate work (practical, theoretical or academic), and I also offer lessons in music technology: teaching students how to competently use musical tools such as Sibelius, VSL technology and Digital Audio Workstations.
