Notes:
I am a full time musician and instrumental teacher. I have over 25 years of experience. I am friendly and reliable and, of course, I have a CRB check. I can also provide excellent references on request.
I mainly teach Guitar & Drums but I also teach Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Mandolin, Bouzouki & Banjo. This means that I am usually very busy.
This also puts me in the position where I can jam with my students and give them the very real experience of improvising with other musicians and of playing in a band situation.
It also means that when we record songs / CDs in my fully professional recording studio, we can have a full recording with all of the instruments required to create something special, and something my students will be proud of for many years to come.
I tailor every lesson to what the student needs, and I encourage every student to enjoy playing their instrument, to practice and to make excellent progress.
Some of my students enjoy learning their favourite songs or TV / Film theme tunes. They all learn to read music quickly and easily. Some study for Grades exams, if they choose to do so - and so far I have a 100% pass rate for my students!
Lots of students love to make up their own songs and tunes. Throughout the course of their lessons, I will "sneak in" the appropriate amount of music theory, so that it seems easy and natural, relevant and, most importantly, not boring!
Half hour lessons are available on a weekly basis, during term time, each week day evening and throughout Saturday. I'm currently very busy so lessons take place in my teaching / recording studio.
