Notes:
I'm an easy going but experienced teacher, performer and recording artist (double bass and bass guitar). I'm currently the resident double bass teacher at Ipswich School and Royal Hospital School, but also take private students at home.
I'm a professional orchestral player and have played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. I've also performed as a soloist (double bass) with orchestras performing double bass concerto repertoire. I've been tutored by principal double bassist of the Royal Opera House, BBC symphony orchestra, Orchestra of St. Martin in the Fields, English National Opera, Chamber Orchestra of Europe and many more. I've also recorded at Abbey Road, Maida Vale and others.
I'm 25 (at the time of last edit) and have a personal approach to teaching. I was never encouraged or forced into music as a child so my approach is to encourage a student's existing musical interests and develop their enthusiasm for music and for playing their instrument, while building proper instrumental technique and building an understanding of theory, history and composers.
If you'd like a consultation lesson, give me a text message or an email so you can meet me and decide whether I'd be right for you as a teacher!
