Jonathan has given recitals around the UK, and in France, Germany, the USA and Australia, receiving particular acclaim for performances of Bach, Vierne, Elgar and Reger. Recently, he has given recitals at Westminster Cathedral, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Saint-Sulpice, Paris.

Jonathan was Organ Scholar of Southwark Cathedral from 2010-2012, where his duties involved accompanying and directing the cathedral choirs in the daily services, serving as Acting Sub-Organist & Director of the Girls’ Choir in his final term. Whilst there, Jonathan was the main organist for prestigious occasions including services for the London 2012 Olympics and HM The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and played in frequent BBC broadcasts of the choir. In November 2011 Jonathan took part in the launch of Choirbook for the Queen, in honour of HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. He also appears as the main accompanist on the cathedral girls’ choir’s debut solo CD “Awake my Soul” (on the Regent label), which gained 5-star reviews in both the Sydney Organ Journal and Choir & Organ. Previously, Jonathan was Director of Music at John Keble Church, Mill Hill (north London) for two years.

As an ensemble and continuo player, Jonathan has appeared with many groups including the Chichester Chorale, the Colchester Chamber Choir, the Southern Sinfonia and the London Mozart Players. He has appeared at St. John’s, Smith Square and in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, and as part of the City of London Festival. Recently, he accompanied performances of the Duruflé Requiem and Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms. As an accompanist, he has broadcast live on both BBC Radio 3 and 4, and as a conductor live on RUV Radio (Iceland). Jonathan is an enthusiastic transcriber, with recent organ transcriptions by Rossini, Mascagni and Brahms (Academic Festival and Tragic Overtures), and is also a keen improviser.

Jonathan is a tutor at the City of London School, accompanist to the Wherwell Singers and teaches organ to University of Winchester students, as well as privately. Jonathan’s website can be found at He is engaged to the Italian-Australian soprano Allegra Giagu.
