Notes:

I have extensive experience as a piano accompanist to major singers and have taught in several educational establishments from prep school to university. However, I still gain pleasure in seeing less advanced pianists or beginners start to flourish, and am therefore happy to take pupils from the age of seven or eight. Considerable emphasis is laid on the development of good technique so that developing musicianship is not frustrated by lack of practical ability.

I also greatly enjoy teaching theory - it can be fun! - and would recommend that this is done in tandem with instrumental studies. Pupils are entered for ABRSM exams if requested.

I usually teach in pupils' homes and am willing to travel considerable distances if merited: I currently teach a few pupils in the Windsor area as well as Peterborough.
