Notes:

I teach at home and enjoy working with students to help them achieve their goals, whether it be taking exams, auditions, playing in orchestras/ensembles or simply as a hobby.

I have been teaching violin for 20 years.
I welcome students at all levels and standards, including beginners and children (accompanied by parents).

I have an up to date DBS certificate and I have undertaken a teaching course which allows me to structure classes to best achieve studentsí needs.

I have 35 years experience of playing in orchestras and small ensembles as well as composing music to commission and many of my works have been performed by orchestras, ensembles and solo musicians.

My students have included overseas students, children as young as 8, older players new to the instrument, orchestral players, and people who just want to play as a pastime.

Throughout my playing career I have continued to learn and have had lessons with great players and teachers including Peter Thomas (former leader of the Philharmonia and CIty of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra).
