The age range I teach is 6-adult.
Clients take ABRSM and London College exams.
Most gain merits and distinctions.
I believe in giving people a fully rounded musical education.
The curriculum I offer is aural, sight reading, sight singing, sol-fah, harmony, improvisation, theory and history of music. My students also learn the significance of the pentatonic and Western scales.
I organise group workshops for clients so they have the opportunity to play for each other and share their experiences. Parents are included in the invitation.
I hold the view that this is particularly important for pianists as piano playing can be a solitary occupation.
