Qualifications:

I am a graduate and a qualified secondary teacher, though not in Music. I have no formal music qualifications but a great deal of practical experience, including of teaching, both individually and in groups/workshop situations. I have extensive knowledge of flute history and technology and also restore antique wooden flutes. |

Notes:
I only teach traditional playing and "folk" music, at any level, beginners to advanced, child or adult. I specialise in Irish and Welsh music and techniques pertaining to traditional styles of playing. I can teach with or without the use of staff notation. I do not teach modern classical metal flute nor do I teach to examination. I have given workshops for organisations such as trac, CLERA and Folkus.
