Mr Hans Bosma

Born in Bruges in Belgium, Hans Bosma studied classical music from the age of 8 until 22. Later on, he developed his capacities to improvise at the famous piano jazz school “Bill Evans Piano Academy” in Paris. There, he discovered the harmonic universe of Bill Evans and the rhythms and sound of many other jazz musicians. In the last 5 years, he revisited the classical repertoire to work on his sound. By following the piano technique of the French pedagogue, Jean Fassina, a disciple of the Russian School, he learned to listen … and that’s what music is all about.

Presently, he performs a repertoire of classical music, jazz standards and own compositions. Since he has always given an important meaning to hazard on his life path and in his improvisations, he chose the name Hazz’Art to reflect his music activity, a contraction of Hans, jazz and art. From every single note, either intentionally chosen or accidentally played, a new melodic line or harmonic colour can be developed that contributes to the creation of a whole musical landscape.

He regularly gives classical concerts, accompanies dancers and singers, and performs with his band at jazz bars, mostly in London and Paris.
