Biography

Originally from Warwickshire, Charlie-Jade is a british singer, actress & teacher who trained in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. Since graduating in 2015, Charlie-Jade has enjoyed performing in a varied selection of concerts and theatre. Credits include; (most recently) Red Riding Hood in Red Riding Hood at Hoxton Hall in London, Ensemble in State Fair at Cadogan Hall directed by Thom Southerland, Thursford Christmas Spectacular as a soprano and soloist, Soprano Ensemble for BBC Friday Night is Music Night and a Soloist at the Prince Edward Theatre (West End) in Curtain Up! Prior to this she performed in 'Anything Goes', a concert celebrating the work of Cole Porter, at Cadogan Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

Musical Theatre roles whilst at the Royal Academy included 'Lynette Squeaky Fromme' in Sondheim's Assassins, directed by Sam Yates. 'Miss Snow' in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, directed by Ken Caswell, and 'Dot' in a workshop of Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George, directed by Jeremy Sams. Charlie-Jade reprised this role for the Stephen Sondheim Society Summer Concert in 2015.

In April 2017, Charlie-Jade will be join the principal cast of the Fingask Follies UK Tour, returning on June 1st to begin teaching.

As well as a working performer, Charlie-Jade is an experienced singing teacher, vocal coach and workshop facilitator. She has worked extensively with part time theatre schools teaching both children and adults, preparing many for drama school and West End auditions for shows including Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Memphis to name a few. She currently teaches singing and musical theatre performance at Pure Rhythm School of Performing Arts where she Musically Directed their 2016 production of 'Alice In Wonderland' and is currently Musical Director of 'Honk'. Charlie-Jade holds a singing teaching position with Haringey Music Service and is the singing teacher at Mill Hill Music Complex. Recently, students have joined the West End casts of Thriller Live and Memphis.

Charlie-Jade holds an Associate Diploma in Performing Arts Teaching as well as the LRAM diploma in singing teaching which she studied at the Royal Academy of Music under the teaching of Mary Hammond. Charlie-Jade is fully DBS checked and First Aid trained.

Charlie-Jade currently has openings for new students in the West Hampstead or Hampstead areas.
