Hi I'm Adam King. I love bass and more importantly I love teaching bass. I've worked hard to become one of the best bassists in the country and in doing so know what it takes at all stages of studying to improve bass playing and musicality - from complete beginner to fully blown session professional.

I respect each student's individual needs and demands, I endeavour to understand each student's aims and ambitions. I aim to move forward together with all of my students in achieving new and exciting levels of playing and musical experience. After all it's about having fun and experiencing the joy music creates, whatever stage of playing you're at.

I tailor each lesson to the student's individual demands. If you've never touched a bass before, no problem, if you've been playing for the last 35 years and are looking for new directions and refinement, no problem. I cover all areas of music and have extensive theoretical grounding - sight reading, harmony theory, improvisation are all areas which are covered.

Whether it's jazz pizzicato bass, funk slap bass guitar, picked rock bass guitar or bowed classical double bass we can work together in achieving improved understanding and playability. I provide clear and understandable worksheets after each lesson so that each student can feel secure knowing that nothing covered within the lesson is forgotten.

I have taught extensively since graduating from Middlesex University (BA Jazz Music First Class Hons) and am currently a freelance bassist within the UK and London. Please check out my website for more information about my background.
