A qualified primary school teacher since 1992 with a B Ed hons from the University of Birmingham I worked as a primary school class teacher in various settings with responsibilities ranging from music, curriculum enhancement and design technology. I became a specialist in primary behaviour management working for Wakefield Psychology Service and then Leicester's Behaviour Support Team as a Behaviour Support Teacher.
Since 2007 I have been a peripatetic music teacher in Leicestershire and Rutland primary schools teaching pupils classical guitar where children learn to read music and are taught theory to support playing. I have entered numerous children for Trinity College Classical Guitar Grade exams over the last decade and I have a 100% pass rate. Children are entered when I assess that their skill set is at an appropriate level. I strive to make the experience as positive as possible and I am proud of all my pupils who work so hard when they decide to take their various grades .
Instruments: Classical guitar teacher with over 10 years experience of teaching beginners to grade 5 standard. Working in Leicester schools and privately at my home in Rutland and in East Leicester.
