Mr Mackenzie Paget

Mackenzie has had many years of teaching experience, as well as giving solo recitals. He has a wealth of experience on accompaniment, ranging from accompanying and sub directing several choirs to duo and trio work. His most recent performance was of Liszt Totentanz concerto with the Greater Gwent Youth Orchestra, based in his home town in Wales. At present, Mackenzie is accompanist of Dore Male Voice Choir and Mydel Ladies choir, based in Macclesfield. Back at home in Wales, he accompanied a male voice choir as part of a documentary and another choir for a BBC recording signifying the 40 year anniversary of the band Queen. Since being at the RNCM, Mackenzie has become massively sought after for accompaniment and teaching, upon which he won the pianist prize in the Chris Petty English Song Prize, back in 2017.
Mackenzie has played in the Royal Albert Hall on numerous occasions as a pianist and as an accomplished clarinet player, playing in ensembles such as county wind bands and many chamber ensembles where he has played in competitions (most notably at the Royal Northern College Of Music). Mackenzie has also played piano in the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales and the Liverpool Youth Philharmonic Orchestra several times.

Teaching is Mackenzie's passion - he always strives to use the best individual and expertly devised methods for every pupil, whilst offering support and guidance for the most efficient progress possible.
