Notes:

I have experience of teaching piano, flute and theory to both children and adults. Lessons are tailored to the studentís individual needs, covering technique, music theory and aural training. Students can work towards taking ABRSM graded exams, or learn purely for pleasure.

I have played the flute and piccolo in a number of orchestras, including Walsall Symphony Orchestra, University of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, University of Birmingham Chamber Orchestra, Birmingham Concert Orchestra and the Amadeus Ensemble. I have also been fortunate to perform flute concertos, accompanied by two of these orchestras.

I am currently the Principal Flute in the Midland Chamber Orchestra.

I have a lot of experience of playing piano duets and playing flute in small ensembles. I believe that playing with other musicians is beneficial both technically and socially. It is important that students enjoy their music making.
