Hi there,

I am an experienced violin tutor.
I welcome all stages, from beginners to advanced players preparing for exams up to grade 8. I have many years of experience in music teaching and performance.

I have been playing violin for over 20 years now and music has been my greatest passion. I completed my primary and secondary music education in Poland where I obtained thorough classical training with regular exams and concert opportunities. I also received an in-depth training in the music theory and the history of music. During that time I performed with orchestras in Poland and Germany and participated in masterclasses with renowned violin players such as Piotr Janowski. Since moving to Scotland, I have performed with many local orchestras in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, with some examples being the Orchestra of Canongait, the Scottish Sinfonia and Philomusica of Edinburgh. I also perform with string quartets and informal music ensembles. In 2015 I received an ATCL Diploma in Music Permormance from Trinity College of London.

I have been teaching violin for close to 4 years and have received very positive feedback from my students. I like to teach in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere as I believe you can only learn the instrument well if you enjoy playing it. I have a flexible approach to teaching – it is your decision what you want to play and how you would like to learn it – I am here to provide you with the learning materials, technical expertise and advice on practice techniques. There’s only one thing I’ll be asking from you – regular practice!

Feel free to contact me and ask any questions. (You can phone or e-mail me at [email protected])
Hope to hear from you soon!
