Notes:

Hello, I'm Tom, a 24 year old Bristol based graduate ready to teach guitar in my local area.

I achieved Grade 8 Rockschool Guitar at the age of 15, I've taught kids and adults beginner/intermediate guitar whilst working in Hockerill Anglo European College's music department. I played guitar in their successful Jazz band for many years, travelling throughout the UK and Europe to play concerts. We covered many different genres including swing/bossa/funk/rock & pop/classics. It improved my sight reading, rhythm playing and theoretical knowledge.

Aside from Hockerill I've been in many bands of my own, this time more rock/metal based where I further harnessed my lead guitar skills and mentality within smaller setups. At University (Bath Spa, Commercial Music BA Hons) I was in multiple bands playing guitar and drums (which I've been teaching myself for the last four years) and began to compose a lot of my own music. Developing my ability through practice and performance was my life during my time there, and since graduating I've continued to compose/play in bands; it's my passion.

I'm eager to get started, and would be happy to help guide students through their Grades, or just anything they want to learn, with eventual focus on helping each individual find their own style that motivates them to improve and ultimately love playing guitar!
