I am a recent music graduate of University of Birmingham, and am currently completing a PGCE to teach secondary school level music. I have experience of teaching saxophone, french horn and trumpet to both children and adults who are completely new to music but have also tutored GCSE music students. At school I ran several of the jazz ensembles and through this was able to coach many of the junior musicians at school. At university I played lead Alto Sax in the University Big Band and also played French Horn in the University Philharmonic Orchestra. I have extensive performance experience having depped various ensembles including the Central England Ensemble, BGSO playing at venues including Symphony Hall and The Spotted Dog. I have great communication skills through my work in both bars and Symphony Hall as a steward, and can interact at ease with people of all ages. I have a real passion for music and hope to encourage others to develop their own passion too!
