Biography

Hannah is a classically trained violinist who started the violin aged at 2 years old. She was originally taught through the Suzuki Method.

As a child Hannah gained a place as a member of Great Britain's prestigious National Children's Orchestra where she performed at some of the top music venues in Great Britain and received training from top professional musicians.

Educationally she gained scholarship to The Purcell School of Music and was also offered placement at Chethams School of Music in Manchester. Hannah continues professional development through various University Institutions and the Associated Board in London with a particular interest in Early Years Music Education and various research projects.

Throughout her life, Hannah has been involved with many orchestras, leading many of them including the UEA Symphony Orchestra. Here she led the orchestra under the Guest Baton of the late Sir Colin Davis CH CBE (London Symphony Orchestra) and Jiří Bělohlávek CBE (Principle Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic). She has also participated in workshops run by tutors from the Juilliard School (New York).

As well as her passion for performance, Hannah's main interest is in Music Education, particularly that related to Classical Music. It is a subject that she feels passionately about and with over 10 years teaching experience of leading initiatives and teaching both peripatetically and privately, she has been able to create The Little Dolphin Violin Project.

Hannah compliments her music studies with health studies and has gained many health related qualifications in Public Health and Health and Social Care. This has given her invaluable knowledge and overview of socioeconomic determinants that many deprived areas suffer from and serves as a useful tool when devising and running initiatives within these areas from a holistic prospective.

Early this year Hannah gained invaluable insight into the workings of a world class arts organisation having worked with the London Philharmonia's i-Orchestra Project in Truro, Cornwall.

Hannah has experience of working with and leading Wider Opportunities - whole class teaching and previously was the Lead Violin Tutor for Julian Lloyd-Webbers In-Harmony Project (Now England Sistema).
