Available for lessons in person or online. I can travel within a 20 minute drive of Finsbury Park.

I graduated in 2015 from Birmingham Conservatoire with first class honours in jazz performance, and have worked as a professional musician ever since. I have a wealth of performing experience, as a member of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, my own quintet, rock induced brass band Young Pilgrims and the Calum Gourlay Big Band. I have freelanced with the likes of Jim Rattigan's 'Pavillon', Eliza Carthy's Wayward Band and Chris Dean's Syd Lawrence Orchestra, to name but a few.

I am also a prolific composer, having written extensively for jazz orchestra (including commissions for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Greater Manchester Jazz Orchestra) and a variety of smaller ensembles. Works of mine have been recorded by the Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra, and performed as far afield as the USA, by the University of Miami’s Frost Studio Jazz Band.

I am a dedicated and passionate teacher who can enable you to reach your musical goals. Having previously worked in schools with the Birmingham Music Service, I have attended safeguarding training and have experience teaching people of all ages. I can guide you through classical/jazz/theory exams if desired. All skill levels are welcome, so please don't hesitate to get in touch!
